LUDI
BIOGRAPHY
LUDI aka Lucie Garlik, Czech-born vocalist, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist. With a voice that evokes deep emotions and lyrics that provoke thought, LUDI explores the nuances of the human condition through an eclectic mix of Jazz, Blues, Folk, Punk and Rock Opera.
The music is passionate woven with intensity, inviting listeners to delve into themselves, the fractured realities of our colonised minds, to resolve our own unique power and beauty out off the machine.
LUDI's journey began listening to their fathers reel to reel, eventually destroying it through great curiosity at age two. Art was smuggled into Czechoslovakia during the Soviet occupation, artistic political debate didn't kill you but starved you slowly. Ludi has always known music/art to be a powerful tool to make sense of the humon condition navigating systematic colonisation..
